Business Control Department was following a manual process in the following area which needed to be automated to improve Data-availability and efficiency in Business control process

BOE Data Extraction: Extraction of Data from Bill Of Entry Customs Document was manual, time consuming and Error prone given the volume of the files received. In addition they had 5 years of data that was manually entered
Quality Verification: Once a person manually uploads the data to the internal systems, a quality analyst had to spend hours verifying it.
Data Decisions: Gathering actionable Reporting and Data patterns to make accurate data-driven decisions was challenging for them

The Ontobot team stepped in and analyzed their custom requirements in depth and proposed the following:

AI-based Data Extraction Model

A Custom trained AI model based on the historical data available with Foxconn. There were multiple formats of Bill Of Entry that had to be trained

Internal Storage

The Bill of Entry data ingested using the Custom trained AI model was posted to the existing MSSQL database for further processing

Reporting

Power BI reports were generated for the extracted data as per the Business Control Requirements
